Opened in 1843, the Staatsgalerie is the largest art museum in Baden-Württemberg. There, visitors can view works of art and various paintings from the High Middle Ages onwards and sculptures from the 19th century onwards. In addition, the gallery has the largest collection of works by Oskar Schlemmer, a well-known Bauhaus artist. The extension building, the Neue Staatsgalerie, opened in 1984, is considered a masterpiece of post-modern architecture in Germany. The Q-Park Galeria Kaufhof multi-storey car park is just a few metres' walk from the Staatsgalerie and offers the perfect parking space for your car during a visit.
