The Wilhelm Hack Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art can be found in the middle of Ludwigshafen. In 1971, the Cologne merchant Wilhelm Hack donated his private collection of modern and old works of art. It is also the most important museum of its kind in all of Rhineland-Palatinate due to its collection of works by a wide variety of artists. Its ceramic facade is the landmark of the museum.
