Stadtschloss

At the end of the 13th century, an abbot's castle was initially built on the site of the town castle in Fulda. In order to meet the abbots' increased need for representation over time, it was extended into a four-winged castle at the beginning of the 17th century and converted and expanded into a residence. At the end of the same century, further extensions were made to the city castle in the Renaissance style. Only about a century later, the palace was then remodelled in the Baroque style and yet another wing was added. Today, the city palace serves as the seat of the city administration. Nevertheless, many of the historic rooms can be visited. Our Q-Park car park is only a few metres' walk from the city palace. There you can quickly and comfortably park your car for a visit.
