In 1875 Konrad Hahne established a foundation from which the Vonderau Museum emerged. The museum is divided into three departments: cultural history, natural history and painting and sculpture. The numerous exhibits, which mainly date back to the Celtic settlement of the region, provide an insight into the prehistory of the district of Fulda. Attached to the museum is a planetarium.
