Technische Universität

It is the first fully autonomous university in Germany, the Technical University of Darmstadt. It belongs to the TU9 university association. The university is home to around 25,000 students and approximately 310 professors. Together with the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz and the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University Frankfurt am Main, it forms the Rhine-Main Universities. At that time, it founded the first faculty for electronics engineering, thus also the first degree programme in electronics engineering worldwide.
