The famous Kugelbrunnen is an extraordinary work of art and is located in Aachen's city centre. It was built in 1977 from old washing machine drums by the metal sculptor Albert Sous. What makes it special is that it can move by means of purely mechanical hydraulics powered by water pressure. In just eight minutes, the fountain transforms into a beautiful bloom. The Kugelbrunnen is just a minute's walk from the Stiftstraße multi-storey car park.
